Join Pauline Willis, Director and CEO of the AFA, at our annual summer event in the Hamptons. This art-filled day features celebrated private collections, lunch, and studio visits.

Highlights from our Day of Art include:

Curator-led Tour of Laurie Anderson at Guild Hall
We will start our day at Guild Hall for a special tour of Laurie Anderson with Christina Strassfield, Museum Director/Chief Curator. Laurie Anderson is an avant-garde artist, composer, musician and film director whose work spans performance art, pop music, and multimedia projects.  The exhibition will feature her work in video performance, drawings, and virtual reality.

Lunch at the Maidstone Club

Studio Visit with Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas
We will have the opportunity to visit the studio of sculptor and AFA supporter, Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas, an internationally-acclaimed sculptor best known for her monumental sculptures in fabricated metal and cast bronze, stainless steel, and steel. Her work seems to channel ancient civilizations while remaining rooted in the modern.

Please note: Itinerary is subject to change.  Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to East Hampton. We will meet at Guild Hall where parking is available. Guests will be provided shuttle transportation between locations. Addresses will be provided upon reservation. Business casual attire recommended.
